DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for providing quality assurance, using various software testing methodologies, to ensure implementation of a quality product. The analyst may also be responsible for providing application support for assigned applications, providing user documentation and participating in training activities as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage software Quality Assurance projects

Planning and Test Design

  • Work with developers and end-users to understand application functionality, which may include reviewing business requirements and design documentation, interviewing end-users and developers, and reviewing the actual application (forms, reports, procedures).
  • Design test plans and test specifications (scripts) to test application functionality, including validating calculations, verifying report outputs and validating the data from a database perspective

 Testing Execution

  • Develop test plans and test specifications (scripts) to test application functionality. The test scripts should include a procedural step-by-step specification for entering data, validating calculations and/or results, checking report outputs and validating the data from a database perspective
  • Create scripts and write code for automated testing.
  • Conduct manual testing, document, and report results.
  • Conduct automated testing through Microsoft Team Foundation Server, document and report results.
  • Document defects or issues as they are identified. Make recommendations on application improvements where possible
  • Work with developers and users to verify and sign-off on application enhancements and/or other application changes
  • Report results of software testing to management and teams as needed    

Other Duties

  • Manage and prioritize testing assignments to meet key deliverables and project milestones
  • Develop training materials and provide training sessions to end-users as required
  • Assist other within the department as required and perform other duties as requested by the manager
  • Evaluate improved testing techniques and automated testing tools when applicable

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with database query languages (eg SQL)
  • Experience with software development languages (eg C#, VB.NET, VBScript)
  • Experience with EDI and/or XML processing
  • Experience with automated testing (eg MS Team Foundation Server/Visual Studio Coded UI, Test Director, Quick Test Pro)
  • Skill with business productivity software required (eg MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, Visio).
  • Knowledge of Windows
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Pay Rate:  $35/hour - $42/hour (C2C/1099) + CANDIDATE PAYS THEIR OWN EXPENSES
