Our leading international Semiconductor partner is looking for Senior Digital Design Engineer. You will be playing an essential role in the design, evaluation and validation phases, supporting and advising the development team and third parties (subcontractors, customers etc.) with respect to the development of ICs. You will specialise on one of the competencies of analogue design, digital design or mixed signal design. You will be reporting to the Project Leader.Main Responsibilities:
• Keep advanced level in digital/mixed signal IC design and power electronics
• Digital HW/SW co-design, timing & control expert
• Able to make the digital block specification from the system spec
• Contributes actively in design reviews (also for other teams)
• Converter topologies, FPGA prototyping
• System simulation and verification techniques
• Literature / competitor / patent investigations Defines, performs, interprets and presents evaluation/characterisation according to the evaluation plan (aligned with application engineering and test engineering)
• Advanced level of the digital-on-top / mixed signal design flow
• Defines and reviews planning of digital designs
• Reports design- and planning issues to the project leader
• Coaches digital design engineers and practical trainees
• Stimulates re-use of building blocks for efficiency reasons
• Stimulates to a co-operative and productive interaction in team working situations (team player and team builder)
• Communicates with clarity, structure and conciseness in both one to one and group situations
• Contributes in SWOT analyses at IC level
• Evaluation of competitor IC’s (aligned with the application engineer)
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Masters (or Bachelor) degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Cadence digital design flow (Front-end)
• Specification of parts of the digital core of the IC, VHDL/Verilog implementation of the specification
• Verification (digital simulations), synthesis, place&route, timing verification and physical verification
• Driven to achieve success and able to work in a team of expert engineers to reach clear design goals.
• Pro-active attitude.
