We have a requirement for an experienced Software Development Consultant for a Dublin based customer. This is initially a 3 month contract with a high possibility of a further extension.

The role in Brief:

  • Provide the technical leadership in analysing, designing and troubleshooting end to end application solutions on BPM Pega PRPC
  • Work with the business, cross functional teams in analysing and identifying issues at Front End, middle tier or Back End of the applications.
  • Resolution of issues that cross team boundaries, and proposes recommendations to advance existing processes to avoid reoccurring incidents.
  • Assist in formulation of prototype and screen layout on Pega PRPC, SQL Server/Oracle/DB2
  • Study various database and Middleware improvements which are suggested to stabilize and enhance application environments.
  • Lead in troubleshooting application systems, performance and environmental concerns.
  • Understands customer lines of business/components and recommends innovative approaches to meeting business requirements and solution design BPM Pega.
  • Review code, coaches and mentors the development team on coding standards, design patterns, best practices and advanced technical approaches to improve and stabilize the application environments.
  • Provide advice and technical guidance to the team.

Experience Required

  • 7+ years of experience in Software Design and Development using Pega PRPC above v6.1, Core Java, JavaScript, SQL Server/Oracle/DB2, Web Services/SOA
  • Working level knowledge of high-volume transaction processing software applications and a solid understanding of the effects of various factors on the health and performance of these systems.
  • Working experience on banking domain is a plus.
  • Must have completed at least one project using service oriented architecture (SOA).
  • Ability to interpret both technical and non-technical requirements
  • Understanding of major architecture design patterns and practices that support the identification and design of enterprise-wide reusable assets (eg Enterprise Service Bus, Service Registry, etc.)
  • Should have designed, implemented BPM Workflow and well versed in BPM Concepts.
  • Have understanding of IT Security Architecture, and IT Regulatory Compliance
