My client, a rapidly expanding and dynamic online social media company is currently in need of technical support professionals to join their busy team in Central London.

Predominantly a mac environment, the successful applicant will have extensive skills with Apple products and operating systems in addition to Microsoft skills.

My client's goal is to be the largest worldwide social network for meeting new people. It includes many great social network fundamentals, but really focuses on giving users the games and tools to gain attention and expand their social circles. Established in 2006 by a small group of young, forward thinking programmers and tech entrepreneurs. The idea was to create a social website that would transcend all national boundaries, but at the same time, represent the local unique culture of its users. The goal was then to spread into all cities and small towns so that users could meet new people locally.

The culture in the office is very people friendly indeed. They enjoy a pool table, free food and a social environment. And while the weather is nice and sunny, they make use of their roof terrace!

Job purpose summary:

Solving issues with employees computers, networks, servers
Rolling out new starters
Training of employees
Helping employee's with general issues

Essential Skills:
· Mac OSX 10.6

· TCP/IP
Key responsibilities and Tasks:

Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone electronically
Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
Research questions using available information resources
Advise user on appropriate action
Follow standard help desk procedures
Log all help desk interactions
Administer help desk software
Redirect problems to appropriate resource
Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
Prepare activity reports
Stay current with system information, changes and updates

Desirable Skills:
· SUSE
· DNS
· Firewall
· CCM
· Cisco routers
· Mail Clients (Apple Mail, Googlemail)
· Apple Certifications.
