System Electrical Layout Architect opportunity with a global semiconductor organisation based in The Netherlands. Joining the System Electrical Layout Group on a long term contract basis you will study, define and manage the Electrical Layout Infrastructure for a product family.Position Overview: Scope is cabling/ bundles between electrical modules of subsystems and also including the definition of cabinets layout and connection concepts optimised for manufacturability and serviceability.
Job Description
As System Electrical Layout Architect within Electrical Development you will primarily take responsibility for defining, documenting and maintaining the requirements and roadmaps for the electrical layout infrastructure.
Your main responsibilities for this position are:
* Translate the electrical infrastructure requirements from the customer in a product definition together with system Engineering and subsystem project teams.
* Investigate and write down the requirements of production and service.
* Concept study and definition of the electrical infrastructure of the products.
* System level impact analysis of new platforms.
* Perform trade-off studies to determine the preferred implementation scenario for the realisation of the electrical infrastructure.
* Design and draw a modular electrical 3D concept that meets the requirements of your stakeholders, the international standards on electrical safety and EMC.
In addition to the main responsibilities detailed above, you need to demonstrate competency in the following:
* Volume management of all electrical modules of the product in a 3D CAD tool.
* Making proposals for the best / most effective volume use together with the mechanical 3D architects.
* Making assessments for future volumes.
* Organise reviews with System Engineering, mechanical 3D design team, multifunctional projects, production and service during the study, definition and realisation phase.
* Being accountable for the realisation of the maximum reuse of all standardised design building blocks for cables, racks, cabinets and modules.
* Act as a "knowledge base" and technical coach for Electrical Layout, Electrical Construction designers and Electrical Integrator.
Education
* Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar level acquired by working experience.
Experience
* At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in 3D Electrical system design.
* At least 4-5 years overall industrial work experience.
* Broad technical knowledge on electronics / cabling / mains distribution / electrical safety / diagnose / electronics cooling.
* Experience in: any tool related to 3D CAD;
* Experience with NX is preferable.
* Excellent English language skill in writing and speaking.
* Preferably have already some previous experience working with big complex high tech companies or multidisciplinary organisation.
