Urgent requirement for an Integrations Engineers in OxfordshireThe role will be within the Vehicle Integration team, reporting to a Chief Engineer and has scope for promotion for a candidate with the right skills.
Position: - 2 x Integration Engineer (Immediate and Senior Level)
Basis: - Permanent role
Salary :- negioatble depending on experience
Duties of the Integration Engineer:
*Liaise with Customers to design and develop electrical/electronic solutions on a system level
*Propose solutions for integration of new functions and ECUs within a complex electrical architecture
*Generate design requirements and specifications for software and electronic modules
*Generate design documentation for complex features, breaking down the functionality into hardwired and CAN signal requirements
*Develop design verification documentation and carry out tests
*Take high level attribute requirements and break down to System, Subsystem and component requirements.
*Derive Component Design Quality Documents - FMEA, Boundary diagrams etc
*Analyse electrical interfaces between electronic modules and loads etc to ensure compatibility
*Generate documentation defining the electrical characteristics of electrical components.
*Attend meetings, write reports and give presentations to Potential Customers and Clients
Education required from the Integration Engineer:
*Degree in Automotive or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar qualification
Experience required from the Integration Engineer:
*Experience: 2+ years required in automotive or vehicle electrical systems
*Experience in CAN based architectures, functional partitioning and automotive networks
*Experience in electrical vehicle issue investigation and use of CAN/LIN tools
*Experience with automotive electronic ecus and interfacing components
*Knowledge of automotive electrical system design
*Knowledge of automotive functionality relating to powertrain, chassis, hybrid, body and infotainment systems
*Knowledge of Hybrid Automotive Architectures
*Knowledge and understanding of vehicle electrical circuit and harness design
*Knowledge and understanding of vehicle diagnostic systems
*Familiarity with Quality Tools - FMEA, P Diagrams, robustness documentation and ISO 26262
*Familiarity with Automotive OEMs and tier 1 electronic module suppliers
Skills required from the Integration Engineer:
*Ability to communicate and discuss complex technical functions
*Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management
*Ability to analyse complex electrical automotive systems
*Business focused and results orientated
*Good level of presentation skills (verbal and written)
*Able to work to tight time scales and under pressure
*Credibility at all levels within the operations business
*Excellent team working and organisational planning skills
*Have a high level of self motivation
*Ability to use initiative
*Strong team player
*Good multi tasking skills
Skills preferred from the Integration Engineer:
*Knowledge of Hybrid and or EV automotive architectures
