A leading pharmaceutical company are seeking to appoint a Microbiology Manager to join their rapidly expanding organisation. Due to a recent restructure an opportunity now exists for a Microbiology Manager to take accountability for resource and people management within the Microbiology department. The successful candidate would be responsible for a team of 25 Microbiologists and would be responsible for the release of products worth over £100m.Role and Responsibilities:
- Take overall accountability for resource and people management within the Microbiology department to ensure customer requirements are met and service levels are optimised.
- Ensure the Microbiology laboratory operates to cGLWP.
- Provide Microbiological support to the organisations operations, advising on all aspects of microbiology to support GMP.
- Provide 100% customer service in everything that we do and to do it better than anyone else.
Skills and Experience Required:
- In depth knowledge theoretical and practical microbiological knowledge.
- Hi impact and influencing skills
- Engagement as a core competence and working through others.
- Effective team player, whilst having capability to lead from the front.
- At least 10 years experience in a pharmaceutical quality department.
- Track record of initiating and driving continuous improvement
- Manufacturing/fmcg/pharma background
