Description
Our client, a major investment and retail bank, urgently requires an Operational Due Diligence Analyst to undertake reviews for investments in hedge fund and real estate asset management partners.
The ideal candidate would be a newly qualified accountant with 3-8 years experience in a big 4 firm or within the audit space.
Key responsibilities:
*Conduct on-site operational due diligence meetings of external asset managers. These meetings discuss all areas of operations to assess the strength of the organisation and its ability to mitigate operational risk.
*Document due diligence meetings conducted in the specified report template and present findings to the regional research committee.
*Perform regulatory research and reviews for managers.
*Analyse underlying manager financial statements.
*Review monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual real estate financial reporting and prepare analyses and formalised presentations for senior management which will include detailed operating performance variance analyses
*Assist in the review of audited financial statements for real estate structures
*Ongoing interaction with the administrator, auditor and asset management partners for real estate structures.
Essential:
*ACA/CA newly qualified
*3-8 years working in within a big 4 accounting firm.
*Preferable that the candidate have investment product knowledge (hedge funds, real estate)
*Working knowledge of industry standards for the asset management industry, specifically hedge fund, including familiarity with policies, procedures and "best Practices".
*Knowledge of hedge funds and pooled investment products.
*Strong audit and/or operations experience required.
