Description

I have a client who has a live WordPress v3.5.1 based site for business “A” that they wish to CLONE for a new (similar) business “B” that they are opening in September 2013.

The site for “B” will differ from that of “A” in two ways:
  • Presentation Styling: Different logo and colour scheme (html/css elements and design images)
  • E-commerce: Support for a shopping basket, checkout, online payments, etc. (this was NOT a business requirement for “A” hence there is NO e-commerce support in the current WordPress site)

  • I am therefore looking for a highly reliable, experienced and affordable freelance web developer who can:
  • Implement the presentation styling (I can provide guidance on what my client would like and some of the revised design images; however, the web developer should have an eye for UI design and styling, be able to amend existing images as required, use their initiative etc., so the end result looks right!)
  • Implement the e-commerce capability, including all testing, and integrate this with an in-house ePOS system

  • At present, the preference is to implement the e-commerce capability using WooCommerce. Payments are to be taken via a Payment Gateway, NOT on the website itself. It is highly likely that the client will wish to use one of the following Payment Gateways:
  • Global Payments IRIS
  • SecureTrading Payment Pages

  • Both of these have WooCommerce plug-ins available.

The web developer will also need to have a good understanding of the WordPress products structure and help the client convert/re-import existing product data to meet e-commerce requirements (e.g. stock levels, sizes, colours, etc.) using a CSV importer plug-in.

The in-house ePOS system is e-Trackit (http://www.e-trackit.co.uk) and the new website will need to interact with this via a bi-directional XML sales/stock feeder file.

A complete copy of the existing WordPress site, plus some of the new images and e-Trackit feeder file documentation would be provided at the start of the project. The web developer would need to securely host the development site whilst it is being built, and to allow both myself and my client access to it for review, feedback and testing purposes.

It is ESSENTIAL that the web developer have solid WordPress, WooCommerce and payment handling knowledge and experience.

Ideally my client, who is based in Buckinghamshire, England, would like this project to be undertaken and COMPLETED during September 2013.

If you have the right experience and skill set, and could deliver this project in the next month, then I would like to hear from you! References WILL BE required and taken – we have been badly let down on this project over the past 2 months and cannot afford to lose any more time. My client will require a short formal proposal/quotation from you as any contract for services would be directly between you and them.

    Thank you for your interest.
