Description
A commercial bank in Chicago is seeking a full-time IT Project Manager to join their newly formed PMO. The project manager will work on a multitude of projects over multiple lines of business. This position will also have the responsibility to develop processes and have input in the direction of the PMO. This position will be located in the northern suburbs on Chicago.This is a high visibility position and strong communication skills are required. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of Project Management experience and a financial background. This project also offers the oppotunity to get in at ground level and truly have an input on the future of the group.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Managing the full life cycle of software development projects
- Innovating project management procedures and practices
- Being responsible for multiple projects
- Determining and managing budgets for projects within business lines
- Managing direct and matrix reports of 3-10 employees
- Working closely with the IT Development team
Qualifications for this role include:
- 3-5 years of project management experience
- 3-5 of experience within the financial space
- Understanding of the SLDC
- Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, Visio and Power Point
- Bachelors Degree in Economics, Finance or a related field
