*The hours for this position are Monday through Thursday 11:00 am to 4:00 pm from early September through December.*

Summary:
This position is intended to re-enforce the IT Department's ability to handle user and system support during Q4 with two locations. Tasks will be delegated to this employee from the Systems Administrator or the VP, IT. These tasks would include working on help desk tickets, performing preventative maintenance on equipment, researching for upcoming projects, administrative tasks, etc.

This employee is responsible for solving user related computer problems and assisting with daily IT activities. If at any time the solution involves an expense, he or she must discuss the need with VP, IT or Systems Administrator. This employee will have limited permissions to help users with passwords or basic permissions. They will not have full administrator access nor any direct purchasing authority.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer.

Service and maintain help desk tickets - Assisting users with PC issues ranging from printing problems to Microsoft Office help or other general IT related requests;

Preventative Maintenance (printers/copiers, laptops, desktops, phones, etc);

Assist with research for purchasing, getting quotes, or service of new/existing computer equipment;

Work on administrative tasks such as updating the IT Project Tracker, building basic reports as needed;

Keep meeting minutes for IT Departmental meetings; and

Protect company assets through the proper management of asset files and adherence to company policy with regard to information security and management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

One year of experience in a helpdesk/support role;

Knowledge of office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, etc);

Experience with operating systems (windows 7/8, Server , OS X);

Strong customer service/support/communication skills;

Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Visio);

Intermediate skill level with SharePoint;

Basic knowledge of Active Directory;

Proficient in general PC/MAC troubleshooting;

Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, Wireless);

Solid understanding of Cat-5/6 Ethernet cabling and patch panels;

Certification(s) are a plus (CompTIA A+ or related); and

Experience with AirWatch, Spiceworks, Centrify, Office365, ERP systems (Dynamics NAV), and/or SonicWall are a plus.

Education

Associate's Degree or a two year technical certificate in a Computer related field is required.
