The Company

Our client is a leader in medical software and diagnostics space. Due to growing demand for their innovative range of products, they are adding a SNR .NET DEVELOPER to their team. Sitting within the R & D team, you will be responsible for all thing development, from gathering requirements to the full software life cycle - interviews this week!

This is initially a fixed term 6mnth contract role, for a specific project, with the opportunity to go permanent.

The Role

We are looking for a passionate, motivated, technology focused developer to join the team in a hands on capacity. The successful developer will ensure software is developed to the highest quality standards and uses architectures and toolsets consistent with world's best practices - this includes using existing development and design tools (Mercurial, JIRA, Nunit, Hudson) and management systems (iDesk,) to ensure consistent code development, release and configuration management for manufacture, upgrades and ongoing support. You will also, cooperatively work with other teams to architect, design, develop, test and deliver products and solutions as part of a complete delivery on time and to specification

Successful candidates will have a strong background in project based work, excellent development skills and the genuine ability to 'think outside of the box'

Skills & Experience

  • C# .NET (C# mono is a huge plus!)
  • Strong knowledge of MVC (and similar) design patterns, with emphasis on code abstraction
  • Software Systems:
    • Ability to work under project constraints, due to the fixed requirements for this project (not really an Agile method approach as other places).
    • Ability to design modules/components at times on their own, and document.
    • Ability to implement documented designs.
    • Ability to analyse and understand existing code structures.
    • Great communication skills.
    • Enthusiastic to work in a close team environment, dealing with innovative Embedded biomedical product

Desirable

  • Experience working in highly regulated environment with fixed requirements; ie, Medical, healthcare, pharmaceutical etc
