Senior Java Developer
€60 per hour
3-6 month contract
Near Antwerp, Belgium
Our client, a global giant in their industry, have opened an exciting position for an experienced Java Developer to join their team on site in Belgium. The position holds an array of opportunity and they desire somebody with a want to learn and proactive attitude to assist them on their projects.
Environment Development Tool(s) and Platform(s):
*Java and its usual list of acronyms
*Eclipse IDE/IntelliJ
*Linux
Technical profile requirements:
*6 years or more professional experience with the development of Java and Java EE-based applications
*Strong knowledge of OO design
*Technical expertise that covers the full software stack (Front End to Back End)
Non-Technical profile requirements:
*You will be working in a challenging environment. Next to understanding the scientific context, you will also need get yourself acquainted with an entire range of state-of-the-art technologies. Hence, we are looking for a tech-savvy Java developer that is eager to learn.
*Being able to think outside of the box
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
*Accepts personal responsibility for client satisfaction
*Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills
Methodology/Certification requirements:
*Master and/or Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry or Bioinformatics OR equivalent through experience. Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
*Previous work experience in a scientific context is a definite plus.
Language proficiencies:
*English spoken and written
*Dutch is strongly preferred
