Our client is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to provide process and production engineering support to the existing E&P team based in Aberdeen, UK.

You will act as a focal point for the team and supervise activities of graduate engineers and industrial placements.

You will be expected to co-ordinate support to the site operation team for safe and efficient delivery of production targets, provide leadership for junior engineers, check project progress and ensure that departmental objectives and work plans are met. You will control all aspects of site support, maintain and update existing engineering documentation for the assets and ensure that the highest safety standards are adhered to.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
*Co-ordinate support to site operation team, for safe and efficient delivery of production targets
*Provide leadership for junior engineers, with responsibility for providing work direction and technical guidance, checking work/project progress
*Proactively monitor, review and analyse plant and equipment performance and provide feedback to Line Management, identify opportunities to maximise production and performance and share best practice
*Perform all duties as a proponent engineer in line with Request for Modification Procedure.
*Be responsible for implementing the Change Management Procedure when applicable.
*Carry out routine review of Stream Cases and ensure that the status is regularly updated and prioritised.
*Prepare and supervise functional and performance tests of equipment/units, in close co-operation with offshore personnel. Undertake concise analysis and reporting on effectiveness of testing procedures
*Propose and justify modifications to equipment or to operating procedures to improve safety/efficiency/reliability of equipment. Ensure clear and concise scopes of work/procedures are produced and that all modifications meet statutory and Company standards. Participate in MA process as appropriate
*Review and check all deliverables (scopes of work/calculation notes/procedures/etc ) undertaken by junior engineers and industrial placements
*Take part in the commissioning of major new equipment and the review of operator training documentation
*In collaboration with the Production Chemistry team, ensure all chemical treatments meet performance and contractual specifications

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical/Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent) and at least 8 years experience in oil and gas production.
You will be a Chartered Engineer with detailed knowledge of onshore/offshore process and production systems and industry norms and specifications.
Experience of working in an offshore environment is required.
