A Danish biopharmaceutical company urgently requires an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to work on the refurbishment of an existing upstream biotech production line.

This will be an extremely fast-paced role, requiring a proactive individual.

Location: Copenhagen area, Denmark

Duration: 4 months + extension

Start: Immediately

Role and Responsibilities:
• Support the mechanical design of piping - generating isometrics, construction drawings and reviewing P&IDs
• Field supervision - ensuring that construction subcontractors have followed the design drawings and specifications correctly
• Supporting the commissioning of equipment and piping - including carrying out P&ID walk-downs and equipment tests (FAT/SAT), and reviewing mechanical completion documentation
• Equipment to be commissioned will include bioreactors and support vessels

Requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience working on the full lifecycle of investment projects for the (bio) pharmaceutical industry, from design through to commissioning and qualification
• Knowledge of piping design for (bio) pharmaceutical production equipment
• Good communication and team working skills
