My client is looking for a compliance technician to help this market leading organisation.

Role

*The role is a 3-6 month contract to focus on implementing and updating compliance manuals, policies and procedures on FCA rules/other relevant regulations

*Development of a Compliance Manual, identifying all relevant regulatory matters for the business, such as:
oFCA principles
oSales process
oTraining & competence
oComplaints
oGifts & hospitalityoRemuneration
oFinancial crime & AML
oInformation security
oTCF
oConduct risk

*Development of a Compliance Framework for the team's practices, identifying all relevant regulatory areas to be included, such as:
oStructure chart & job descriptions
oManagement information
oCompliance monitoring programme
oTraining & competenceoFinancial promotions
oCommittee structure, oversight & attendance

*Review existing policies and/or procedures (including in areas as above) against FCA expectations and implement recommendations for changes where required, providing a clear rationale

*Have excellent knowledge of FCA, FOS and other regulator expectations, and be able to keep the business informed of future changes to the regulatory environment

*Develop and deliver training to the business on revised policies and procedures

Skills & experience

*Minimum 5 years working in a compliance advisory function of a FCA regulated firm - general insurance business preferred

*Excellent working knowledge of the FCA handbook, and wider requirements including TCF, information security and financial crime

*Be solutions-focused to assist the business on moving forward

*Ability to analyse complex information to arrive at a good level of understanding

*Adaptable and able to prioritise workload

*Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate complex rules/concepts in a simple, clear and concise manner
