This is a 6 month contract opportunity with a possible extension.

Overview

With Increased project demand in the PMO we require an experience project manager to assist in a variety of projects, in-flight and net new. Reporting to the Program Manager Information Services (IS) Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Manager has overall accountability for managing project(s) using IS Project Implementation Methodology (IS SPIM).

Role and Responsibilities

Characteristics of the Project Manager will need to be:

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, sufficient for effective communication with stakeholders from all levels of the company
  • Strong negotiation skills to enable various stakeholders to align
  • Ability to transform high-level objectives into an achievable scope and deliverables
  • Must have a strong and demonstrated focus on schedule management
  • Demonstrated experience managing process change and organizational change
  • Experience handling projects from 1M to 5M and duration of 6 months to 2 years.
  • Ability to manage teams between 5 and 20 resources.
  • The ability to interact with key stakeholders at all levels while managing tight control of the project plan, deliverables, timelines, budget, and quality.
  • Understands and has demonstrated adherence to Project Implementation Methodology.
  • Understanding of integrated Oil and Gas business domain
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to effectively interact with business and key stakeholders to define objectives and subsequently, translate these objectives into business and technical solutions.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Proven Results oriented IT Professional with 10+ Years of experience specifically in Project Management.
  • Must be able to demonstrate from past experience the ability to handle all phases of the project life cycle including working with cross-functional, multi-project team resources to ensure business processes and technical solutions are successfully delivered on time and on budget.
  • Will be required to provide management, leadership, facilitation, problem solving and analysis for business process definition and improvements.
  • Capable and experienced handling Requests for Proposal (RFP) and evaluation and selection of IT solutions.
  • Experience with managing 3rd party vendors and in-house development teams using iterative development methodologies.
  • Experience addressing cross-functional issues and organizational change.
