Job Title: Electrical/HMI Test Contractor

Location: Longmont, CO 80501 ( Prefer Local candidates within 30 miles )

Duration: 8-12 Months

Payrate: $ 17.68 per hour on W2

Job Description

Cient have multiple projects with multiple cabinets and HMI's. They need additional resources to test the cabinets and HMI's.

Responsibilities would include:

* Testing of control systems to engineering and customer specifications.

* Read electrical drawings

* Wiring Controls to test stand

* Troubleshooting modules and/or software functionality.

* Perform tests on modules and/or systems consisting of various controls according to engineering data

* Unbox HMI computers and setup the computer hardware.

* Use network drawings to connect HMI's on a network

* Configure software and settings on HMI computers to engineering and customer specifications.

* Test and verify HMI software functionality.

* Box HMI computers at the end of the project.

* Create appropriate documentation when needed.

* Interact with internal and external customers as needed.

* Assist the engineering department as needed to ensure systems are tested and shipped when promised.

Requirements

* Associates degree with a discipline in electronics/electrical/computers (preferred)

* 2-3 years of experience with troubleshooting and testing electronics/electrical

* HMIs experience (preferred)

* Ability to read network drawings and electrical drawings

* Must be a team player

* Ability to multitask

* Must have a pleasant attitude

Physical Stamina

Some of the physical needs for the work are frequent stooping, bending, reaching and climbing step stools, and capable of lifting 40 lbs.

Hours:

Job is located in Longmont CO.

7:00 to 3:30 core but some test techs work 6:00 to 2:30 for an 8 hour day

There are times working with the engineers or customers calls for working overtime during the weekdays and overtime on the weekends.

Safety:

Safety shoes required. Safety Glasses with side shields required - we have safety glasses for you and if you wear contacts, but if you only have prescription glasses you have to use a pair safety over them, this isn't the most comfortable but it works. You will be responsible for personnel compliance to the Environment Health and Safety, reporting issues etc.

Tools:

We will provide the tools needed. You will use multiple hand tools for wiring screw drives, wire crimper, cutters, etc. You will use a digital multi-meter for testing analog signals, voltage and continuity. You will also be using a computer to help perform testing on the controls.

Team work:

You will be working in a team environment.

You need to be flexible, effective under changing conditions and with different changing tasks, responsibilities and people. Willing to listen and follow directions.
