Green Light iscurrently looking for an experienced and TSPV cleared Quality Assurance Manager with solid skills in Provision the planning, management and implementation of quality assurance mechanisms in support of technically orientated projects within a program of work for an IT program based in Canberra.

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that, in consultation with stakeholders and subject matter experts, program and project deliverables (both technical and non-technical) are suitable for the intended purpose and thatfirst time mistakes are eliminated.

The Quality Assurance Manager will be expected to assist with the delivery of business outcomes to a dynamic business unit. Planning and delivery activity will require the successful candidate to remain flexible and adaptive while ensuring suitable oversight is provided. The position will involve working with business stakeholders, program members, and development teams.

Major Responsibilities

Provide mechanisms to ensure quality assurance across a range of program outputs including but not necessarily limited to:

  • Ensuring that systems delivered matchthe customer requirements to their satisfaction
  • Assuring Program documentation and artefacts complies with internal conventions and policies
  • Liaising with stakeholders on quality expectations and standards
  • Monitoring engineering processes and methods
  • Coordinating and running meetings with key business partners and stakeholder groups
  • Presenting plans and conducting reviews
  • Preparing status reports for the program management team, business stakeholders and senior officers.
  • Work with other key business partners and stakeholders to identify and implement a Branch and potentially a corporate Quality Assurance program.

  • Advise the program management team on issues requiring attention, and implement management decisions.

Major skills required:

  • Demonstrated experience in provisioning Quality Assurance in both industry and Government is desirable.
  • Experience working in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and potentially cyber security is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing Test and Quality strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, managing and implementing test and quality plans.
  • Quality management up to but not including ISO9000.
  • Excellent demonstrated written and oral communication skills including working and negotiating with senior stakeholders.
  • Presentation skills of a high calibre.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical audiences.
  • Administrative skills, including time management.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and allocate tasks.
  • Ability to successfully manage all working relationships. 
  • Must have essential certifications and qualifications
  • Must be NV1 cleared.
