System Security Architect

Description

Green Light is currently looking for an experienced and TSPV cleared System Security Architect with solid skills in providing system security architectural support for an IT program based in Canberra.

The System Security Architect will provide support to the Project Manager and Architectural team with regard to a broad range of security matters. This position has responsibility for undertaking development of an over arching security architecture for the project including participating in high level system designs, detailed designs,technical documentation and other related engineering activities across the program.

Responsibilities :

• Work closely with the Internal Information Securitydivision for the purpose of providing security advice for Program projects anddelivered capabilities
• Provide subject matter expertise and advice to theProgram on security related matters
• Develop, deliver and update of overarching securityarchitecture for the Cyber program
• Develop, deliver and maintain Threat and RiskAssessments (TRAs) for capabilities and projects
• Develop, deliver and maintain System Security Plans(SSPs) for capabilities and projects
• Verify security controls and mechanisms areimplemented and delivered as designed
• Assist in identification and management of systemsecurity risks and issues
• Assist in development , deliveryand update of a time-based schedule of security activities for projects and theprogram
• Provide leadership in theidentification, documentation and mitigation of security related issues
• Ensure that work completedconforms to any applicable quality standard or a standard identified by theCommonwealth
• Ability to work with limitedsupervision
• Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures
• Engage with relevant stakeholders for security related matters.

You must have the following skills and experience to be considered:

• Experience in a Security Architecture role
• Experience identifying and applying security controls to large scale, complex projects
• Experiencedesigning and implementing Information Security policies, practices,technologies and governance
• Experience designing and implementing ICT security policies, practices, technologies and governance
• Experience participating with architecting complex systems.
• Experience producing and maintaining Threat and Risk Assessments (TRAs) and System Security Plans (SSPs)
• Effectiveoral and written communication skills
• Administrativeskills, including time management
• Abilityto effectively prioritise and allocate tasks
• Abilityto successfully manage all working relationships.
• Must have essential certifications/qualifications.
• Must be TSPV cleared.
