Description
A new 3 month initial contract opportunity has arisen for a Senior Network Consultant to join this well recognised Queensland Government Organisation based in Brisbane CBD.
The Senior Network Consultant will be required to undertake the following key responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration and testing of the network equipment to be installed
- Provide standard advice on IT building standards for a fully redundant network
- Assist with the auditing processing of the existing fibre network
- Attend meetings, site visits when required
- Arrange meetings with vendors and arrange site visits for all vendors
- Acceptance of network environment and handover to operations once ready for service
- Service Delivery Standard activity change implementation
- Maintenance of Network support documentation
- Administration of iConnect/Connectra remote access tokens
- Hardware fault logging and management of replacement equipment
- Network equipment installation and configuration
- Network Monitoring & Alerting - configurations updates and maintenance
- Network services maintenance activities
Deliverables and outcomes:
- Data Network Specification and design
- Incident management within SLA timeframes
- Delivery of service delivery standard activity change
- Completion of daily standard network service maintenance activities
- Provision of final document deliverables
- IConnect/Connectra Token Management
- Maintenance of Network Service Support Documentation
- Equipment and services quotations and assessment
- Supervision of service providers for supply and installation of Network equipment
- Supervise testing and acceptance of communications equipment
To be successful for this role you will require the following key skills, qualifications and experience;
- CCNA/CCNP
- LAN/WAN routing and Switching
- Wireless Networks
- Load balancing
- Good oral and written communication
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Drivers Licence
Desirable:
- Checkpoint accreditation
