Description
We are searching for an experienced Systems Engineer who will be responsible for troubleshooting and developing technical solutions related to Appsense and Lumension Security software products.
Responsibilities
- Undertake planning for the installation of new products and equipment, and enhancement of existing products and equipment, in accordance with customer requirements
- Ongoing support to ensure smooth and efficient customer operations maximising customer satisfaction
- Provision of "specialist" fee-based services, to assist customers
- Regular interaction with the Account "team" to ensure clarity and awareness of all activities and plans
- Awareness of customer trends/developments (keeping Management informed)
- Awareness and adherence to Fujitsus service delivery processes and methods
- Self-direction in identifying and suggesting training opportunities
- Ensure that skills are maintained and enhanced in "specialist" area(s) relating to product knowledge, services knowledge, or industry knowledge
- Organise or participate in "interest groups" relating to area(s) of specialisation
- Produce accurate, concise and timely reports as required
- Supervise the activities of a small team as required
- Originate regular articles of interest in specialist area(s)
- Provide "on-the-job" training, guidance and assistance to less experienced Systems Engineers to ensure overall competence in the company continually improves
- May be required to provide regular input, review and update of material on the corporate Internet
Essential Experience
- Detailed knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server System
- Experience in SQL administration (optional)
- Knowledge of Non-Windows based Operating Systems (Linux, Solaris, Mac)
- Experience with Patch Management and Endpoint Protection Security
- Hands on experience in AppSense Application Manager & AppSense Performance Manager (6months minimum)
- Expertise in Citrix XenApp 5 & 6, Citrix presentation server 4.5 (2yr minimum)
- Hands on experience in Citrix XenDesktop 4.x/5.x (1 year minimum)
- Hands on experience in AppSense Application Manager & AppSense Performance Manager (6months minimum)
- Expertise with core Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop services including, but not limited to, Zones, License, Desktop Delivery Controller, Provisioning Services, Policy Management, and web interface
- Deep technical understanding of Presentation Server Core technologies (eg Windows TSs, CSG, WI, DDC, RM DB, Clients)
- Support experience in a VDI infrastructure utilising Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix Provisioning Services
- Hands on experience NetScaler v7000
Skills/Knowledge
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures relating to Windows Operating Systems, Windows networking and troubleshooting Windows network environments
- Able to multi-task and manage priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact directly with customers
- Bright, high energy individual, with a passion to learn and contribute
- Able to absorb new concepts and technologies quickly
- Can work in a fast paced, dynamic, and fun team environment
