Procurement Consultant/Senior Buyer - Contract - 6 months - £400+
We are looking for an MCIPS qualified and experienced Senior Buyer with strong stakeholder management and customer facing skills at all levels, who is capable of working both autonomously and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to balance legislative and corporate procurement compliance and risk whilst taking a pragmatic approach which ensures the successful delivery of contracts and orders in a timely manner.
Core/Mandatory technical skills/knowledge:
- Ability to work with a range of different internal stakeholders
- Good level of Public Sector procurement experience
- OJEU (EU Tendering) and Government Procurement services Framework (GPS) experience
- MCIPS Qualified
- Knowledge and ability to manage a range of procurements across a number of different categories, values and level of complexity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload
- Proactive
- Ability to provide general advice and guidance pre and post procurement
- Strong negotiation and commercial/contract drafting skills
- Manage the full life cycle of procurement and tender processes
- Ability to resolve commercial disputes
