- Experienced in producing a creditable security case in support of accreditation activities
- To have applied security techniques to mitigate information risks, including how to maintain their effectiveness.
- Evidence of capability in secure configuration of networks
- Experience working with a MoD customer and the application of JSP440
- Application of an architectural approach to Information Assurance
- Analysis of system architectures to identify information risks including GAP analysis of existing systems
- Define the scope of vulnerability assessments
- Conduct technical Vulnerability Assessments, including the production of plans ad their execution
- Provision of mitigation for Identifies vulnerabilities
- Produce unambiguous security requirements for information systems
- Impact assess engineering changes for Information systems
- Risk Management and Accreditation Document Set (RMADS) production
- Stakeholder engagement with senior customer representatives
- Engage with and assure supplier systems against information assurance requirements
- Keep up to date with HMG and CESG policy, guidance and disseminate this information in a timely manner to the business
- Keep up to date with relevant threats to IA and disseminate the information to the business
- Review and comment on design documentation for information assurance
- Mentoring and IA knowledge sharing with staff
- Developing a cultural change for IA within the engineering community

Person
- Recognise IA certification applicable to the role, such as CLAS or another means to verify capability.
- Recognise architectural certification applicable to the role, such as TOGAF/MODAF or another means to verify capability.
