Due to ongoing online projects in the online business space we are looking for a number of super strong .NET Front End Web Software Engineers to join a high calibre team.
An application or technical architect background would be a bonus, but essentially you must have a passion for writing high quality functional and performance code over producing design documents for others to implement.
As a talented software engineer you will be well versed with various software delivery models, work closely with architects, UX designers and product developers to design and build best-of-breed web and mobile applications.
You are a creative thinker who has an appreciation for visual design and user experience however you will be an expert Front End semantic web developer, with strong hand-coded HTML and CSS, along with knowledge in modern web standards, techniques, cross browser development, client and server performance optimization techniques, accessibility and search engine optimization.
You will also have very strong Javascript skills and good knowledge of Objected Oriented programming principles and best practice Javascript design patterns.
You will have had experience working with C#, ASP.NET and Microsoft technologies.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with application and SOA architects to understand design
- Work with designers to convert detailed mock-ups into fully functioning production ready code.
- Develop online user interfaces for our web and mobile products
- Integrating Front End designs with Back End services and content management systems
- Deliver performance focused solutions which cater for high volume applications
Required Experience
- Creating applications with large numbers of users and dealing with the challenges that this brings
- Designing and delivering cutting edge online products for large scale websites. The more examples the better.
- Developing web applications with rich client interfaces using HTML5, AJAX, drag and drop, and other DOM Scripting techniques
- Responsive design techniques
- Developing for touch
- .NET and Microsoft Technologies
- Understanding of design patterns and why to use them
- Web Services (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC)
- Strong understanding of browser standards and compatibility best practice
- Expert JavaScript skills including frameworks such a JQuery for rapid prototyping
- Excellent communication skills and business acumen
- A good understanding C# ASP .NET
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to continuous delivery practices and principles
- Experience with Automated testing frameworks
- Experience developing for iOS and Android platforms will be highly regarded
- A strong understanding of software design patterns
