Description
Your skills in SAN and qualifications related to HDS Storage will be well regarded.
Due to the nature of this work, you must be an Australian citizen with a minimum NV1/Secret clearance. TSNV/NV2 is preferred.
DUTIES:
- Manage physical SAN cabling connections
- Provide storage design advice and document storage design considerations including capacity planning
- Manage change control for SAN changes
- Manage configuration management for SAN changes
- Configure SAN switch fabric
- Configure and present storage to virtual and physical Servers
- Configure SAN storage and replication
- Configure backup agents
- Configure dynamic tiering solution
SKILLS:
- 8 to 10 years of IT work experience with at least 5 years as a SAN Administrator
- Hitachi Enterprise and Midrange storage arrays essential
- Brocade equipment: design and implementation including Webtools, CLI, Zoning concepts highly desirable
- Enterprise backup experience, Commvault
- Storage array concepts and layout experience, including: RAID Implementations, Pool Storage Design, LUN Sizing and Volume Configuration, working knowledge of Host Storage Discovery Techniques, dynamic tiering
- Cisco MDS 95xx series San switch expertise
- Knowledge of VMware Zones
- Expertise with SAN Administration Tools
- Experience with Symantec Volume Manager, Symantec Cluster
- Experience with large high transactional RDBMS environments
- Solid understanding of SCSI, Fibre Channel, SAN, NAS, RAID and I/O Storage Sub- Systems
- Proven ability to maintain leading edge skills
- Experience with Storage replication and geo - clustering.
