IMMEDIATE HIRE for a Firewall Administrator!
This is a 12 month contract position (potential to extend) located in Sydney, Australia.
Qualified candidate must have exceptional verbal and written English skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for administration of network Firewalls.
2. Provide technical leadership within a highly technical team.
3. On call/shift work required as necessary.
4. Responsible to translate client requirements into detailed actions for execution.
5. Required to follow detailed change management and incident management processes.
6. Investigate and resolve incident tickets.
7. Communicate with other technical teams regarding Firewall operations.
8. Troubleshoot traffic passing managed Firewalls and troubleshoot connectivity issues through Firewalls.
9. Responsible to review work products from Level 1-2 support organization and mentor level I and II personnel to meet quality and timeliness requirements.
REQUIRED:
1. 3 - 5 years Firewall Administration experience with Checkpoint, Cisco and/or Juniper Firewalls.
2. Excellent TCP/IP Networking skills.
3. Ability to work in a fast paced environment within a global organization with different cultures.
4. Experience utilizing packet capture features to aid in analysis of network issues.
DESIRED:
1. Familiarity with Service Center and Service Manager highly desired.
2. Familiarity with ADMS and MDL highly desired.
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree
CERTIFICATIONS:
1. CCNA required
2. At least one of the following vendor certifications is required: Cisco CCENT; Juniper JNCIA; Checkpoint CCSA
DESIRED: At least one of the following vendor certifications is desired: Cisco CCNA Security; Juniper JNCIS; Checkpoint CCSE; CISSP; CISM preferred
