They are currently transitioning from a successful start up, to being completely self-sufficient and are now profitable with ambitious plans for growth. They currently manage an average of 20 million daily offers and are looking to double this to 40 million and then double this again to 80 million within the next 6-8 months. Over 20,000 users visit the site daily and this is hoped to increase substantially over the coming months!
This fast growing team are offering an opportunity for a strong Core Java developer (java, spring, MVC, REST) to embark on their journey and be at the forefront of the innovation of their platform. As a Senior Java Developer (Java, Spring, MVC, REST) you will be responsible for your own solution. This solutions requires the use of text search tools such as Apache Solr to pull offers requested by customers from the database and deliver them to the front end web site. Experience in the following areas is required:
- Core Java
- Tomcat, JBoss
- Sping
- MVC
- Web services - preferably Rest, Jax RS
- MySQL, SQL
Alongside the above Java Skill stack it would be beneficial to have experience in:
- Text searching - Solr, Lucene, ElasticSearch
The backend Java team are extremely ambitious, experienced and have a passion for Opensource Development, as such you must be someone with an eye for detail and experience delivering detailed Java code.
