Description
My client is a global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals and are looking for several senior process engineers to join their team on a longterm contract. Based in Newcastle the contract lenth is based between 12-24 months.What do they want?
A process engineer, with substantial practical experience, which should include process engineering design, plant operations, commissioning and troubleshooting preferably in a Heavy Chemical type industry (Iron and Steel, Petrochem etc.).
- A degree in Chemical Engineering, with chartered status preferred.
- An experienced hazard study practitioner.
- An appreciation of the Health, Safety and Environmental issues on a high hazard (COMAH) site.
- Good communication and presentation skills. Interaction with fellow professionals in production/operations roles will be a key skill.
- An ability to work with all levels in the organisation.
- Capable of leading process engineering input on projects of value £20k - £3m, ensuring that objectives are met and that timescales are achieved.
- Experience in heavy chemicals environment desirable (not essential).
- Able to work independently as well as a key member of a Project Team.
