Description
Large, Federal Government Department seeking a talented Senior Project Manager to lead a team in replacing an internal legal information system, which manages litigation and records legal advice.
In this role, you will:
- Manage this complex ICT project, in accordance with the Department's ICT project management framework and methodologies
- Develop project documentation within identified timeframes as outlined in the project schedule
- Prepare weekly project status reports
- Manage project risks and issues, and escalate issues that are outside of the project tolerances to the appropriate authorities
- Liaise with ICT operational, relevant business areas, and other project areas for the controlled progression of projects
- Manage project resources within the project budget and schedule parameters
- Prepare project monthly financial forecasts
- Manage the project budget within project tolerances
- Prepare the project closure report, and
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An extensive track record of successful project/program management of significant and complex IT enabled projects
- Formal Project Management and ICT qualifications
- Proven experience in planning, implementing and managing release processes according to industry best practice
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills in particular the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of technical staff, executives, managers, and subject matter experts, and
- Experience in managing stakeholder interests and client expectations and escalating issues and risks where appropriate.
