Senior Regulatory Consultant- Manchester- Risk & Compliance - Competitive daily rate
A Senior Regulatory Risk Consultant is required to join a leading Financial Institution based in Manchester.
You will manage a Regulatory Risk unit, providing expert, trusted and pragmatic independent oversight and highly specialised technical advice to the first line.
The key deliverable of this unit will be to ensure the first line have effective control frameworks, including systems and processes to ensure that current and future exposure to regulatory risk is identified, measured, managed, monitored and reported - with a focus on conduct risk (fair treatment of customers).
The following key skills and experience are required:
- Subject matter expert for regulatory requirements applicable to the financial sector;
- Good knowledge and experience of managing Regulatory Risk;
- In depth understanding of the regulatory environment in the UK financial services sector;
- In depth, up to date knowledge of internal and external Regulatory Risk developments and practices;
- In depth knowledge of UK financial services industry, competitor activity, market developments and emerging market trends;
- Experience of managing specialist oversight teams within Matrix risk function;
- Experience of operating at a Senior Management level.
- Expert level understanding and practical application of FSA requirements (primarily business conduct standards; COBS, MCOB, ICOB, SYSC, ML, FIT, BCOBs, PSRs).
