Quality Improvement Coordinator
Purpose and Description:
This position is intended to be in place to assist with the peer review process.
Essential Functions:
Reviewing Medical Records
Looking for and following up on noted or discovered issues.
Coordinating with other Quality Coordinators in the department.
Working with Lead Physicians regarding quality issues.
Participating on Physicians committees.
Required Experience:
These are the MUST HAVE items
2 years experience as a hospital nurse.
1 years experience in a quality improvement role.
Current California RN license.
Proficient with PC applications including database, spreadsheet, and word processing.
Preferred Experience:
These are things that we would like to see, but are NOT required to fill the position. These are NOT disqualifying items.
Knowledge of Title 22, JCAHO and NCQA requirements for licensure and accreditation.
Certified in CPHQ
Experience in MIDUS
Experience with HealthConnect
Required Education:
Bachelors in Nursing
