Description
Satellite Navigation System Engineer with software background is required to join a global semiconductor organisation on a contract basis. Based in Belgium the Satellite System Engineer will need to have in-depth knowledge of satellite positioning systems to contribute towards new product development, integration of new satellite positioning solutions and customer support.Scope of Work: New product development, integration of new satellite positioning solutions and customer support.
Role Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of the satellite positioning systems
Must have knowledge
* GPS
* Glonass
* Egnos
Nice to have knowledge in descending priority
* Beidou
* Galileo
* Understanding of the state of the art satellite positioning systems - What should a circuit deliver under certain circumstances (open air, blocked view, rainy etc)
* Knowledge of common limitations of positioning systems and techniques for mitigation
* Experience with consumer/automotive grade receiver IC’s
* Knowledge/experience with dead reckoning/inertial navigation techniques is an asset
* Experienced in embedded software, more specifically interface drivers
* Knowledge of C, Java and ARM architecture in order to port software drivers to a specific IC platform
* Expertise with satellite positioning simulators
* Expertise with performance measurements of satellite positioning solutions
Skills
* In-depth knowledge of the satellite positioning systems (must have: GPS, Glonass, EGnos; nice to have Beidou and Galileo
* Understanding of the state of the art satellite positioning systems (what should a circuit deliver under certain circumstances (open air, blocked view, rainy…)) & knowledge of common limitations of positioning systems and techniques for mitigation
