Description

We need a motivated part-time (~10 hours per week to start) contractor to help develop & support WooCommerce extensions and other WordPress plugins. SkyVerge is made of a small team of talented developers who are focused on rapid growth in the eCommerce space, and we’re looking for quality people to join the team. Because this is a remote working position with mostly self-determined hours, self-starters with the drive to meet aggressive goals are encouraged to apply. This position has the potential to develop into a full-time gig pending growth and, obviously, your ability to dominate WordPress.
Ideal candidates will have rock-solid organizational & communication skills, the ability to effectively handle deadlines & coordinate multiple projects, be self-directed, and focus on quality and details.

Want details?
  • First and foremost, this is all about solid, maintanable code. If you read that sentence and got nervous instead of excited, this isn’t for you.
  • As a member of our team, you’ll work on a lot of different projects and use a bunch of skill sets (no boredom!).
  • You’ll assist with planning/developing eCommerce solutions, with a focus on WooCommerce
  • You’ll be paid a flat rate per month based on support tickets as well as development time.
  • You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to complex problems, and be responsible for doing it well.

  • Perks? Yes, please.
  • Work where/when you want. We know that the person for us will be productive anywhere.
  • Our team is just as motivated as you are.
  • Flat monthly payments instead of worrying about tracking hours.
  • Challenging assignments to help you learn as a developer.

  • Checklist of your skills:
  • You are a master and commander of PHP (even when writing PHP 5.2 compatible code!)
  • You’re comfortable with MySQL (we’re not looking for a DBA, but you should be confident in writing small, but complex queries)
  • This isn’t your first rodeo – you’ve developed plugins & have work samples
