My client, a gaming company who produce online games, are looking for a SQL DBA on an initial 3 month contract.They are market leaders in what they do, and have offices based across the UK. The are working with the latest technology, and your skillset will reflect this.
The core role will be to lead in building a new SQL server cluster in Windows Azure, putting in to place a backup regieme, and designing and implementing a disaster recovery plan. You will also be required to train existing system administrators in SQL management.
The successful candidate will have extensive SQL Server skills and experience deploying SQL Server on Azure. Demonstrable SQL Server qualifications are a distinct plus.
To emphasise again - my client will not consider candidates that do not have Windows Azure experience.
They're paying between £450-£500 P/D for the right candidate, offer a relaxed working enviroment, and exposure to cutting edge technology.
