Businesstaff has been retained by a manufacturing client in Rialto, CA. in search of an Export Compliance Specialist in a long-term contract role. This position requires a solid background and experience with BIS and Foreign Trade regulations. Customer Service and Traffic experience are also required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The focal point for export compliance, respond to all internal and external inquiries.
Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain customer liaison to resolve potential issues and communicate pertinent information.
Provide clear instructions to other employees on order entry and shipping requirements.
Complete SLIs and communicate other needed information to Freight Forwarders.
Audit post-export shipping documents and Freight Forwarder compliance.
Apply for Export Licenses via SNAP R.
Ensure export license conditions are met.
Respond to government inquiries.
Classify products for export control purposes (ECCN) and Schedule B.
Maintain records per established internal procedures.
Familiarity with XA/AS400 desired.
Be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to interface clearly and effectively with other employees and customers.
Contract rate is $25 to $30/Hr.
