QA AnalystA global financial company located in Midtown Manhattan is looking to add a permanent Quality Assurance tester to their risk management team. No relocation assistance is available; salary is approx 75k - 95k. They are unable to sponsor candidates on an F1 or OPT visa. They can work with H1b visa if there is at least two years left.
Job Summary:
- Test software to determine if functions are running according to their requirements and that the software meets performance guidelines.
- Handle and communicate defect status as well as updates with developers.
- Create and analyze test data.
- Communicate with users to solve installation issues and software defects.
- Communicate with customers regarding installation issues and software defects
The candidate will be working on new proprietary platforms, and be responsible for creating the test scripts and regression testing for the applications. Our client will be looking for a bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Computer Sciences or technical/ mathematical background. Recent grads or 1-2 years of QA or development experience will be considered. The client will not consider candidates with less than 3.0 GPA. Other useful technical skills include knowledge of automated and manual testing tools.
