Operations Manager role - for leading UK Wholesaler. Midlandsarea.Huxley Associates is pleased to be working with a leading National group within Ambient, Chilled & Frozen. This company is looking for a new Operations Manager to assist the Warehouse team within theMidlandsarea.
This role has already been advertised but has been opened up to candidates who has experience within Ambient, Chilled and Frozen environments.
Reporting to the Distribution Manager you will be responsible for all Warehouse and Planning, People Management and Teamwork and Commercial and Financial Duties.
Key tasks & proven experience within:
- Ambient, Chilled & Frozen experience at a Senior Level
- Must have proven experience working with multi temperature environments
- Set KPI's with relevance to multi temperature environments
- Warehouse legislation, legal Criteria - IOSH requirements
- Managed 24/7 sites up to over staff
- Organising warehouse shifts, sickness and holiday
- Strong leadership skills & development of staff
- Identifies & implements cost controls & saving initiatives
- Sets & communicates budgets & KPI's for the site
- Generation of daily/weekly/monthly reports relating to cost, errors rates etc
- IT skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Exposure to setting and implementing budgets
- Proven cost savings
- Must be a forward thinker, a manager who leads by example and someone who is a people person - a 'go to manager.'

On offer for the role is a starting salary Circa £45,000 - £49,000 + car but will be flexible dependant on the successful candidates' skills and experience.
