Description
I have the following contract position which is immediately available in Preston. The contract is for a minimum of 6 months with the likelihood of going on for 12-18 months+- Educated to a good standard.
- Broad based engineering experience in design and manufacturing.
- Good working knowledge of complex mechanical equipment and fabrications.
- Intimate knowledge of drawing principles and standards.
- Good knowledge of machining and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of materials and their uses.
- Commercially aware.
- Can produce designs with little or no supervision.
- Can produce manufacturing detail drawings incorporating limits and fits, welding symbols, geometric tolerances and surface finish.
- Able to produce technical files in conjunction with the CE certification.
- Knowledge of applying relevance EH&S to legislation.
- Knowledge of EFD'S, P&ID's and MFD's.
- Experience of Hazop studies.
- Ability to produce technical reports and documents.
- IT proficient (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office).
- 3D CAD user (Inventor and Vault system).
- 2D CAD user (AutoCAD).
SC clearance
Being conversant with Sellafield procedures and experience in the Nuclear industry is beneficial.
