Description
- Serve as the plant focal point for Quality Assurance.
- Take the responsibility of the development and implementation of the plant Quality program and ensure alignment to the company Quality Assurance requirements and standards.
- Coordinate the plant quality system audit program to ensure compliance to company Quality Assurance requirements and standards.
- Will be a strong advocate of continuous improvement.
- Measure and publish Quality Assurance metrics and develop plan for improvement.
- Lead the Corrective Action Management Process by Coordinating Root cause investigations and coordinating the Customer Complaints management system at the plant level.
- Assist Production and other functions in submitting formal complaints to Suppliers following to non-conformances in the raw material supply process.
- Train plant personnel and provide guidance on the use of Manage Product Quality tools and processes to achieve plant goals.
- Identify and lead improvement opportunities as determined through customer audits, Six Sigma projects, and other quality-related programs.
- Work with Supply Chain and plant personnel to introduce new products, and support their initial manufacture and qualification.
- Serve as plant focal point for Product Integrity and as such lead the Product integrity Program for the plant.
- Serve as plant focal point for Product Regulatory compliance and as such lead the Product Regulatory Compliance program for the plant.
- Lead the QC lab safety program
- Provide technical support to the Quality Control laboratory.
- Identify and lead improvements in the Quality Control process.
- Work closely with R&D Analytical Specialist to Identify and lead improvements of analytical methods.
- Improve productivity of the Quality Control lab by applying LEAN, 5S and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Train the QC lab technicians to new techniques and provide guidance on the use of Manage Product Quality tools and processes.
- Will be the owner of the LIMS system used in the QC lab and which is linked to the plant Process Control Systems.
Profile
- Bachelor / Master of Science degree in Chemistry or Chemical engineering is required
- Experience and certification(s) or willingness to be certified in the use of Six Sigma methodology is desired. Green belt project leader is preferred.
- Fluency in English required
- Experience in a facility with ISO, QS, or equivalent experience is required.
- Leadership and completion of at least one improvement project in a manufacturing facility using Six Sigma or equivalent methodology and tools is required.
- Good knowledge of Analytical Chemistry techniques. Development and implementation of new analytical method is desired.
- Experience in programming (Visual basic), website and database administration is desired.
