Client seeks a Senior MS SQL database administrator for its IT Infrastructure Data Centre Technical Services Group (Utrecht).

Ideal candidate profile:
You should have at least five years' MS SQL Server experience (ideally Certified). You must also have a strong track record in writing and installing scripts for database administration tasks, such as backups and capacity monitoring.
We would also expect you to have the following core technical skills: MUSTS
Strong MS SQL product knowledge.
Strong knowledge and experience with database security (in particular database encryption technology, but also procedures around that, like Segregation of Duties and Key Management)
Write technical documents
Building severs and databases to global standards
Extensive performance & tuning experience
An understanding of fault-finding database client connectivity
An understanding of database security and auditing
An understanding of network, concurrent access and locking issues.
An understanding of database logging and recovery and how to recover from the various failure scenarios.
The following technical skills are desirable: (PRE's)
A good understanding of Sybase ASE 15 in a multi-platform (UNIX and Linux) environment.
Unix Shell Scripting
Experience performing server consolidation
Administration of databases in a Storage Area Network environment
Competences:
Effective English communication skills in both speaking and writing (and
preferably some Dutch)

The team consists of 15 DBA's, 12 collegues in Utrecht and 3 in London.
