Real Staffing are assisting a London NHS Trust which requires a Capital Accountant to support to an understaffed area of the finance team.
The post holder will be assisting key stakeholders with financial transactions and the provision of capital information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Completion of the quarterly Agreement of Balances (AoB)
- Supervision and training of 3 financial accountants
- Monitoring and reconciliation of control accounts
- Reviewing and maintaining the fixed asset register (FAR)
- Preparing monthly VAT returns and advising on PPE/VAT policies
- Liaising with internal and external auditors
- Preparation of capital reporting, forecasting and planning
- Supporting the completion of statutory returns (FIMS) and internal reporting
- Supporting the Head of Financial Control and Capital Project Managers
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Capital Accountant who is looking to develop their skills within a growing NHS provider.
Essential Criteria and Experience:
- Qualified (or Finalist) Accountant
- Line Management
- NHS Provider Trust
- PPE and FAR
- Excel and E-financials Systems
Important:
To be suitable for this position, candidates must have recently held a similar level Capital Accountant position within an NHS Trust.
Rate is negotiable based on the experience of the candidate.
