My client, a leading Medical Device Company in Northern Illinois, now has a fantastic opportunity for a Risk Engineer. This is a 6 Month Contract-to-Hire opportunity paying between $50 and $75 per hour.This leading Medical Device company is looking to grow it's Risk Engineering team and is seeking a strong Engineer to initially lead on the remediation of Design History Files for current on-market Disposable, Combination and Pump devices. The role will focus heavily on FMEA, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of Quality Systems and showing proof of implementation and effectiveness of Risk Controls.
This is a long term position which will enable the successful candidate to move into different areas within the group, including design and testing, dependant on the overall skill set of the candidate. Rapid career progression is available as is the opportunity to interact directly with the FDA.
Candidates for this positions must have the following:
- 3+ Years Engineering experience within the Medical Device Industry
- Strong Mechanical Design background
- Minimum Bachelors Degree within Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong background with DFMEA, FMEA or FMECA
- Previous experience of working to ISO 14971 standards
- Strong Design and Risk Analysis background
