Sr.Web Developer (work from home)

Description

We have a fulltime perm position for a Sr.Web Developer role with our direct client in Norwell, MA.

Client is open to candidates working from home and coming in as required if they live far from Norwell, MA.

Avout the Opportunity
A Senior Web Developer is responsible to create, build, and sustain business applications, utilizing the Microsoft technology stack exclusively, including Proposing and implementing application designs considering performance, scalability, and sustainability, estimating effort needed to complete tasks, raising issues with requirements and technical implementation, and proactively seeking resolution.

Responsibilities

Propose and implement application designs considering performance, scalability, and sustainability

Accurately estimate effort needed to complete tasks.

Raise issues with requirements and technical implementation and proactively seek resolution.

Understand and apply object-oriented development techniques.

Understand and apply standard software development patterns.

Follow test-based development practices to ensure quality deliverables.

Ability to work in a fast-paced project team using Agile project management techniques.

Evaluate alternate solutions to technical problems in an ego-free environment to collaboratively determine the most appropriate outcome.

Continuously improve personal skills with development technologies.

Continuously improve understanding of business processes and functions.

Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Client business.

Education and Knowledge

Computer science, math, or other engineering; Must have an excellent understanding of these technologies and how to apply them successfully to create scalable, maintainable business applications; Required proficiency: VB.NET, SQL, ASP.NET, AJAX, JQuery;

Required architectures/patterns: SOA, OO Design, MVC, messaging; Utilize Agile project management techniques.

Technical Skills required – 5+ years’ experience

ASP.net with C#, VB.net

JavaScript/HTML

SQL Server 2005, 2008: SSIS, SQL Skills, Stored procedures

WCF, web services

Technical Skills nice to have

jQuery, JSP

XAML

Silverlight

WPF

Telerik

Communication skills

Must be able to take & execute instructions given by Technical Lead and/or Project Manager.

Must focus on attention to details.

Must follow Cllient coding standards.
