Description
I am currently looking to recruit a Senior Health Economist based in Uxbridge.As the Senior Health Economist for Oncology you will:
- Demonstrate the value oncology products from an economic perspective and present this evidence with clinical arguments to UK Health Technology Appraisal bodies: NICE, SMC, AWMSG and NCPE.
- Manage the full process of UK and Ireland HTA submissions for the oncology business unit from prep through to dealing with outcomes post submission.
- Manage business relationships with all relevant customers with regards to HTAs, including physicians, patient groups, economists, HTA bodies.
- Liaise with other members of theOncology business unit on health economic activity e.g. supporting the field access teams with tools such as budget impact models.
Build strong relationships with medical and economic key opinion leaders, organisations and industry peers to strengthen image, competitive position and performance.
Desired Skills & Experience
To be considered for the position of Senior Health Economist:
Key requirements
- Experience of working in a Pharmaceutical company as a Health Economist.
- Proven experience of working on a minimum of two full UK HTA submissions (NICE and SMC submissions required).
- Oncology Therapy Area knowledge desirable
- Life Sciences Degree/ Health Economics Degree
Other requirements
- Demonstrable project management experience.
- Experience of working within a matrix environment.
- Understanding of international HTA decision making processes.
- In depth knowledge of HTA and regulatory bodies such as the ABPI.
- Established network of industry KOLs.
- Awareness of national policies surrounding healthcare.
