Description
Individual will be required to:
- Install applications software releases/updates into production
- Conduct reviews of application release notes to identify potential problems prior to release of software into production environment
- Monitor the production environments and work with cross functional teams to resolve any abends and/or operational issues
- Ticket resolution - 2nd level support
- Develop and implement software tools, documentation and procedures to accurately monitor production applications on a daily basis with early warning indicators
- Assist is refining user requirements for systems development and maintenance
- Participate on a rotation pager schedule that provides system support on a 24x7, 365 days/year
Requrements:
- 3 years of professional experience in an Operations Support or Production Support environment
- 3 years of experience working with Solaris and/or Redhat Linux operating systems
- 3 years of experience working with Sun One Application, Web and Proxy Servers
- 3 years of experience with Unix Shell Scripting ksh, PHP or Perl
- 3 years of experience writing complex Oracle PL/SQL queries
