Our Department is responsible for the functional management of a series of applications for the FXMM, Derivatives, Securities/Fixed Income and Loans market. The main applications process financial products on markets described above.
Our department is servicing these systems for both the local clients and the foreign offices and therefore must ensure the systems are available 24 hours a day. Our department is working closely together with the business to develop and review new requirements requested by users of the supported applications. This covers the full spectrum of servicing the Back Office of wholesale banking environment.
Your function
Our department is looking for an enthusiastic, talented, self motivated, fast learning Senior Developer with excellent development skills. The candidate will be responsible for the development activities related to the Back Office system OMR Trading Assistant (mainly used for Fixed Income products) and an inhouse developed Equity Finance Back Office system called Cosmic. He/She is able to design, configure,write/adjust code, perform unit tests and deliver/implement reports and interfaces, including writing the necessary documentation. Furthermore, it is expected that the candidate provides 3rd line support when needed.
Essential skills, experience and knowledge:
- Problem solving skills: Must be able to tackle problems based on limited information, be able to seek out solutions and work around problems.
- Make commitments and deliver on them, provide accurate HLE's and keep to the deadlines
- A good understanding of banking products and processing these products (preferred Fixed Income and Equity Finance product knowledge).
- Hands on experience with Unix, Unix Shell Scripting (ksh, AWK), Perl, Apache, XML, XSL
- Experience with query language FOCUS
- Experience with system OMR Trading Assistant
- Team player, not afraid to ask questions, pro-active, enthusiastic, be open and clear about the status of workitems, take the lead where needed
- Experience with Agile/Scrum
- Education HBO/WO (NL) or College (UK), preferably in Business, Economics and/or Information Technology.
