Proteus Europe operating as an employment business, is currently seeking a WebSphere Specialist to join one of our prestigious clients based in Brussels. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and operation of a complex WebSphere infrastructure as well as the integration of applications into this infrastructure.
Context:
As part of I&O, the IT Web application engineering has the mission to provide infrastructure service in order to host WEB applications. The service provided by the team cover architecture, application deployment, application kitting and support to the development team.

Description:
WebSphere Infrastructure Expert's responsibilities are:
Manage and operate complex existing WebSphere infrastructure.
Application integration in existing infrastructure. Integration with external repositories or content sources. Integration into existing Security infrastructures and operations.
Set-up of lab, development, test, qualification and production platforms.
Planning, Follow-up, Deploy, Test, Acceptance, Industrialization, Training, Handover to Operations and Services Management.
Restoring the servicing (by restarting the application or the machines, isolating unstable components)
Emergency Deployment of application, patching, modification of parameters and participation in the On-Call calendar (18:00 - 07:30).
Performing standby for projects on evenings or weekends.
Capacity Management Incident, Problem: Participate in the identification of the root cause of an incident and the elaboration (and the implementation) of a solution and if not possible to perform a work-around Participate to the introduction of incidents, and their follow-up, to IBM Change Management Asset Management Patch Management
Education & Soft skills:
Bachelor/Master or equivalent by experience
Follows the Customer processes for projects, incident and change management, and being standalone and team worker, analytical minded, meet commitment, ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment, flexible, customer-oriented, understand risk awareness, highly skilled in project management, project life cycle and project methodology, motivated self-starter, processoriented with high attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding projects schedules, strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Experience:
At least 5 years of relevant experience with WebSphere.
Technical experience/knowledge:
Mandatory:
Solid and proven experience with the following Web technologies:
Web Application Hosting
- WebSphere ND
- Tomcat
- IIS
Preferable:
Experience in WebSphere infrastructure in enterprise environments.
Generic knowledge on Web Content Management (Autonomy).
Web Security (Webseal, TAM, TFIM, TIM, Vordel, WAF). Participate in the industrialization of our assets.
Project management/project life cycle/project methodology skills required. A motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding projects schedules. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
