I currently an excellent opportunity for two WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Administrators, to join an exciting project and work with one of the World's leading Service Providers, while based in Johannesburg, South Africa - for a 12 Month Contract, with scope for extension beyond this.
Successful Candidates will be responsible for installing and configuring WAS and IBM HTTP Server (IHS), on a z/OS Operating System. Candidates should also have a strong exposure with WebSphere Message Broker (WMB).
Duties will include using WAS administrative tools to configure and manage enterprise applications; configure security for Server Side application resources; deploy applications in clustered environments; problem determination and troubleshooting; Scripting and automation; multiplatform configuration and performance testing and monitoring.
This role is for an experienced WAS Administrator who has an exposure to and understanding of WMB, and your experience of this software product MUST have been within a z/OS environment.
Preference is for South African Nationals, although exceptional candidates will also be considered.
