RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform system testing on finished compressor packages per pre-approved test protocols and document the test results.
  • Perform root cause analysis on problems observed during testing and recommend corrective action.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve test protocols used to test finished compressor packages.
  • Design test Bay facilities to be effective, efficient, and safe.
  • Develop and perform protocols for incoming quality control on major components and subsystems of compressor.
  • Develop protocols and design test fixtures to carry out testing of equipment on R&D projects.
  • Analyze trends in failures both in incoming QC and equipment in testing to determine recurring problems.
  • Identify solutions to these problems that improve the economics of manufactured products.
SKILLS:

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field.

1+ year experience with electrical instrumentation and wiring for either skid mounted equipment or industrial/plant equipment including 480V 3-phase systems, 120V single phase systems, and 24V DC wiring. 1+ year experience with assembling, repairing and/or troubleshooting systems involving gas or fluid processes. 1+ year experience with general fabrication and assembly for skid mounted equipment. 1+ year experience with steel pipe or stainless steel tubing assembly using piping and instrumentation diagrams. 1+ year experience with electrical instrument and control (I&C) installation and troubleshooting or compressor/pump installation and troubleshooting.
